James Meldrum, a director of Zukuri, is responsible for the legal and governance affairs of the business.  He also currently acts as the General Counsel for a payment services business, having spent the last 15 years of his career in the City carrying out similar roles for trading, brokerage and asset management businesses. 

James spent the early years of his legal career in private practice initially as a litigator and then within corporate finance with a particular focus on the capital markets.  Having then spent a short period acting as the legal counsel for a large transport business between 2001 and 2004, he set up the first genuinely local food business in the UK which he operated until 2008 when he returned to the City.
